Updated calendar of tennis center availability

Because I have had such an interest in private/group lessons at the tennis center, I am adding an extra day/time. I will be offering 1-3 openings based on interest at 5:30, Thursdays on the following dates: January 31, February 7, February 14, February 28, and  March 7. Preseason opportunities for girls tennis

 All preseason activities are optional, but recommended to get you prepared for season- (Each girl is only allowed to participate in 3 preseason activities per week, starting Monday through Sunday) All preseason activities at NHS are obviously free, but if you do a private lesson at the tennis center, it is $50 per hour. If you do the lesson by yourself, you pay the full amount. If it is with two girls, it is $25 per girl. If it is with three girls, it is $17 per girl. If you reserve a slot, I will book the court and you will pay Howard County Indoor Tennis Center, regardless of cancellation. If I book a court at the tennis center, and then no one shows up, that is a waste of my time and money, and it takes a slot away from someone who could have used that spot. J Please do not reserve a slot, unless you are positive you will be able to make that commitment. Mandatory Practice will start on Monday, March 11.

1.      Practice will be Monday through Friday 4-5:15 and Saturday 1-3 unless there is a match.

2.      Please be committed to these practice times. Haircuts, dates, dances, trips are not reasons to miss practice/matches. Do not make doctors appointments during practice times, unless it is to deal with an injury and cannot be helped.

3.      School sanctioned field trips/certain preapproved misses will be handled on an individual basis. Please communicate well in advance to make me aware of possible conflicts.

4.      If you miss a practice, (unless you are sick from school) you will do extra conditioning, to make up for the missed practice. If you miss a second practice (unexcused) you will sit out a match and do extra conditioning. This is a team sport, and you missing out can throw the whole practice schedule off. If you are going to miss practice, regardless of the reason, I expect a text/call at 260-668-0659 by 11 a.m.

I am looking forward to such a great season, and I can’t wait to get started. I am looking forward to seeing some girls step up, take the initiative to lead the team this year and have fun!
